The Good Student Variukha

A fictional account of the experiences of
a pretty young woman, clever enough and
not overly encumbered with superfluous
morality, recently endowed with the
elevated title of specialist in her field, as
she makes her way through the trials
and hardships of the academic world.
Postgraduate Ballads (inspired by Kipling) are attached.

“…My contemporaries still believe that the providers of fresh knowledge and the inventors of technical baubles are entirely clever, educated and honest; that all their conjectures are multiply discussed, all experiments are repeated and all details of their proofs are carefully checked. I’ve desired — at least — to remove this prejudice [1].”
